This mall outpost of P.F. Chang's draws shoppers and locals for its upbeat atmosphere and sophisticated décor. Created by Paul Fleming to pair traditional Chinese cuisine with fine wine, the menu is sometimes inspired and nearly always reliable. Dishes are artfully presented and service is friendly and knowledgeable. Begin with the Chang's Chicken in Soothing Lettuce Wraps or Harvest spring rolls. The hot-and-sour soup is silken and well seasoned. Beware the ahi salad, which is sometimes overwhelmed by Chinese five-spice. If pairing wines with Chinese food has always been a mystery, select a wine from the carefully chosen list designed to complement this food. Orange peel chicken, plump pieces of chicken breast candied in orange glaze and zest, marries nicely with a glass of New Zealand Chardonnay.
