Legal Sea Foods Description:
Originally a family chowder house in Cambridge, Mass., Legal Sea Foods is now a thriving (small) chain, with this mall location the first in the area. Save for the cheesy paper placemats---the place is really too pretty to take that shortcut---this restaurant is a cut above the usual shopping center eatery. Pristine seafood, a handsome raw bar, and classic fish 'n' chips are all good bets. Or tuck into Treasures of the Reef, a smorgasbord of briny oysters, sweet cherrystones, shrimp cocktail, and half a steamed lobster. There's enough to share, if you really must. Kids are treated like VIPs, complete with their own menu and sea scene for finny coloring fun. For dessert, you can't go wrong with the Boston cream pie---better yet, paired with a glass of tawny port.
