Reel Club Description:
This sleek, neutral-toned Lettuce Entertain You seafooder faces plenty of stiff competition nearby. Once home to Greek taverna Papagus, the space has been transformed into a contemporary, beamed dining room in back and moody, happy hour-friendly lounge in front. Miles of wood lend a masculine feel; comfy booths, tables with leather chairs and low lighting make you all but forget its mall locale. The menu, which features some of the same dishes as Di Pescara in Northbrook court, is ocean-heavy. While some of the restaurant's earlier service issues appear to have been ironed out, we remain ambivalent about dishes like the crunchy, sesame-almond-crusted tilapia, save the fact that they're responsibly harvested. More appealing options include the crunchy shrimp with zippy rémoulade and smoky, cedar-planked whitefish with full-of-depth espresso barbecue sauce. More allure comes in the form of broiled or steamed whole lobster and lobster tails, delivered at a surprisingly affordable price.
