Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises knows how to run restaurants where volume is critical; this is no exception. The pleasantly rustic trattoria has dark wood floors, a small bar and bucolic Tuscan murals. Because it's in a shopping center, there's no respite from the hectic environs outdoors, which is to say there also is a near-frantic pace during meal service. Don't miss the topnotch pizza from the wood-burning oven or the tender ricotta gnocchi trio with pesto-accented tomato cream, wild mushroom-truffle butter and hearty Bolognese. And the multi-size pours of wine are a nice touch, too. Come during lunch to take advantage of mini-bite desserts; we go nuts for the moist sponge cake with tart cherries.
