Uptown Sushi Description:
Well-known chef and restaurateur Donald Chang has created a stunner with a sleek mother-of-pearl bar, plushy suede banquettes and multiple dining levels. Youthful beauties like to pose at the cocktail bar over trendy martinis, while focused connoisseurs prefer to sample sushi and appetizer combos at the sushi bar. One of our favorite eclectic combinations is the fried shrimp battered with crushed fortune cookies and garnished with a sweet-hot apricot salsa. Other must-haves include the rib-eye roll, featuring thin slices of tender steak wrapped around avocado; and the Lickety Split roll, which luxuriously combines tuna, crawfish, yellowtail and salmon. We also recommend the main courses, such as the Kobe steak. Beware of throbbing music---not to mention big late-night crowds on the weekends, when reservations are coveted and limited.
