Andre's Description:
This location of Andre's is more contemporary than the cozier original Alpine-style spot in River Oaks, but it features the same menu of full breakfasts (egg cassoulets, crêpes, muesli and flaky, buttery croissants, which we enjoy with the swell café au lait), European-style pastries, artfully anointed cakes and lunches. The lunch special comes with one of the decadent pastries, or diners may choose from the list of daily standards of quiche, salads from chicken to tuna, or sandwiches. Most specials have a continental bent, like beef goulash and, our favorite, seafood crab cakes.
