For centuries, tapas have been associated with hearty drinking. Spanish taverns offered bits of bread, cheese and sausage to soak up some of the alcohol consumed by traveling soldiers. At Mi Luna, the tiny treats have evolved, but their purpose remains closely tied to the bar. No wonder they're the huge focal point of this lively restaurant. Try the house sangría---a simple yet fanciful elixir that perfectly washes down the elaborately prepared dishes. Or opt for one of the many terrific Spanish wines by the glass. The nearly 50 selections of hot and cold tapas are served family-style. Favorites include gambas al ajillo, shrimp in lemon-garlic olive oil, red peppers and cilantro; pollo relleno, a chicken breast stuffed with roasted vegetables and manchego cheese; and solomillo de cerdo con setas, a generous portion of pork tenderloin in a wild mushroom-thyme-sherry sauce. A great add-on is one of the many types of paella, a cooked-to-order entrée that requires a wait.
