Jimbo’s seats only 30 and is always crowded. You have to sign your name on a clipboard and wait your turn on the sidewalk. It specializes in udon, the thick, round, cream-colored traditional noodles. Jimbo’s udon, made fresh daily, have a delightful al dente bounce to them. Have them with the traditional dashi---soy-ginger broth or with golden curry sauce thick with onion and bits of chicken.
