An intriguing corner spot, shuttered until it underwent an impressive renovation, Chefusion Eclectic Cuisine & Lounge still retains its original charms, including a tin ceiling and wood floors. But there's also a hip, urban feeling to the restaurant and upstairs lounge with large windows overlooking a busy street. Choose from lobster tamales, crab cakes and chicken piccata from the casual menu, or go for more sophisticated, formal fare, such as an heirloom tomato and watermelon salad with basil, marinated feta, almonds and mini greens drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Also good is the lobster bisque and puff pastry-topped lobster potpie, brimming with meaty, sweet lobster and mixed vegetables. Cabernet-braised short ribs with roasted potatoes and creamed spinach is yet another winner. Meanwhile, the wine list is full of depth; however, prices range from very affordable to slightly stratospheric.
