Eurasia Bistro Description:
If you're done with dining in white noise, Eurasia Bistro offers a calm, refined atmosphere and a distinctive, personal cuisine that distinguishes itself from the myriad Asian restaurants in Atlanta. Owner Donald Mui's wife, Wendy Chang, a native of Taiwan, commands the kitchen, and her deftness with Asian seasonings---assertive but not wine-conflicting---make for nice wine pairings. We like grazing on the intriguing appetizers, such as shrimp-and-chicken-stuffed beggars purses in a curry aïoli or crystal shrimp dumplings with soy sesame vinaigrette. You can get the fairly standard massaman curry dishes, but you'll do far better to enjoy the rack of lamb, a standard with embellishments that may vary. We also suggest the tea-smoked duck and the side dish of eggplant to share. Lunch options are reasonably priced and many of the same dishes cost less than at dinner. The much-improved wine list still has some holes that we would like to see filled with wines that go with Asian fare, and the bar needs to understand that red wines are not to be served warm. But the glassware is appropriate to fine wine service---another feature that distinguishes this from most Asian restaurants.
