The Burgundy Room

This Tapas and wine bar offers unique entrees including carpaccio, tortellini, duck, mussels and pate as well as many fine wines. Open daily for dinner.
Warm, rich colors, circular Art Deco booths, maroon walls and deep-red cherry wood inhabit the room, where the few window-side tables are in much demand. But wine and tapas are the main attractions here. More than 400 wines by the bottle and 60 by the glass are featured; fortunately, the menu recommends pairings. The menu of small-ish plates is a plus for those who enjoy sharing. We recommend the beet, chickpea and almond dip with goat cheese crostini or the exotic mushroom ragoût with butternut squash in brown butter. Or try the flight of tuna tartare, calamari and shrimp or the flight of beef carpaccio, duck spring roll and short ribs. For dessert, the classic blackberry cobbler with orange-scented Chantilly is a fave.
