Russian Tea Time Description:
This is about the only Russian game in town, so if you have a taste for borscht, caviar and blinis, dumplings, stroganoff and stuffed cabbage, this is your place. Looking for a back-in-the-day dining experience? You'll find that here, too. The dining rooms are old-world comfortable. As for the menu, the platters for two are a bountiful bargain. Fortunately, vegetarians will find plenty to like here (especially the salad choices), and vodka lovers will groove on the flights. (We're partial to the one with house-flavored vodkas like black currant tea, coriander and caraway, if only for the novelty factor.) This place gets incredibly busy when there is a symphony performance, but service is always cordial. At meal's end, Black Forest cake with rich chocolate and cherry flavors is particularly good. There is an elegant tea service, complete with scones, tea sandwiches and tea cakes served daily from 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
