Chicago Chop House Inc. Description:
This place is located in a restored Victorian brownstone and, sure, they serve good steaks, but not consistently. At times the steaks, especially the filet mignon, lack flavor and richness. On the other hand, the T-bone tends always to serve us well. The side dishes are topnotch, especially the potato choices, and the seafood is quite good for a steakhouse. It's nice-casual, there's a swell bar and bar dining area, but the low ceilings can make you feel claustrophobic. The second- and third-floor dining rooms, on the other hand, have high ceilings and are reasonably comfortable. The extensive wine list features selections from almost every major wine-producing country, and 20 wines are available by the glass.
