Bistrot Margot Description:
Chicago certainly is flush with bistros. Unfortunately, we have mixed feelings about this one. The atmosphere is pure Parisian, but the food doesn't always feel (or taste, for that matter) authentic. However, all the standby suspects are here: French onion soup, coq au vin, a duo of duck, steak frites and chocolate mousse. We've enjoyed the garlicky-good escargots as well as the seafood dishes, like the pan-seared whitefish with lemony caper amandine. For dessert, profiteroles are solid.
