Al Primo Canto Description:
This River North carnivore's paradise makes us wonder how the Brazilians stay so enviably svelte; after feasting on the spread of cheesy bread, salad, pasta, potatoes, polenta and slow-roasted meat, we're hard-pressed to fit back into our skinny jeans for weeks. But the sophisticated galeteria (similar to the churrascaria, but with a focus on chicken instead of steak) serves palatable meat---be it the house specialty chicken that's marinated for 24 hours in white wine, garlic, rosemary and sage before hitting a charcoal grill, the beef tenderloin or the 16-spice leg of lamb that's certainly splurge-worthy. (If you're feeling guilty about all the calories, may we suggest a caipirinha or two to help abandon your woes?) The all-you-can-eat deal is the way to go, but if you must, there's also an à la carte menu.
