Located in Le Merigot hotel. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served seven days a week, including a scrumptious Sunday Brunch, both inside and on the adjoining patio.
Cézanne's contemporary room boasts a sleek bar, warm wood accents and romantic high-backed booths. A pianist enhances the ambience at this relatively undiscovered hotel dining room. Unfortunately, the truly memorable meals we previously enjoyed here have given way to a less polished presentation. Chef Desi Szonntagh's menu is a combination of Cal-French and old-fashioned bistro fare, inspired by fresh seasonal ingredients. Consider beginning the evening with a Turkish blood cocktail, which is blended tableside. Currently, appetizers are the best dishes at Cézanne, including lobster bisque, a ragoût of wild mushrooms and a generous slab of rosy-hued terrine de foie gras. Although the steak au poivre was very timidly seasoned and a béarnaise sauce disappointing, the grilled wild salmon with a honey-shallot glaze was well-conceived and deftly prepared.
