A friendly neighborhood pizza joint, Taffy's doesn't rely on video games to keep families coming back year after year. Quality pies and crisp, healthy salads served in a homey setting are this locally owned eatery's recipe for success. In addition to pizza, the usual suspects are available: hearty portions of stick-to-your-ribs lasagna, classic spaghetti and meatballs, whopping calzones, and California-style penne pasta with chicken breast, mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach. The outdoor patio feels like a backyard; indeed, many regular patrons treat it like a home away from home, lounging over the newspaper and a pitcher of beer, or nibbling cookies made in-house daily. Nowadays, they charge for their addictive breadsticks (served with dipping sauces of ranch dressing and marinara), but other than that, little has changed over the past few decades.
