Montecito adopted this relaxed Italian trattoria long ago in spite of its chain-restaurant status. When the wealthy don't want to dress up---which is most of the time---they cruise over here. Gathered around large round tables on the patio next to the creek, they relax over glasses of red wine and platters of hearty Italian fare. Cannelloni, spinach lasagna and manicotti are favorites, along with braised lamb stew and oven-baked swordfish halibut. The bar is a magnet for chatty characters, and a welcome fireplace glows in the main dining room on frosty days. Also located at 101 S. Westlake Blvd. in Thousand Oaks.
