The space may be tiny but the burgers definitely aren't---Phyllis' serves up some of the biggest and best burgers around. Hand-formed and cooked to order, you can keep it classic or top it with teriyaki, pesto, Cajun or barbecue sauce. The signature Bordenave is a worthy splurge: a giant patty on a sourdough roll with sautéed onions, Dijon mustard and your choice of cheese---and you can make it even tastier by adding mushrooms. You'll also find homemade onion rings and fries, shakes and malts, chicken sandwiches and hot turkey subs, and a veggie burger for non-carnivores. Cash only.
