Cafe Stravaganza Description:
While many of The Crossroads Shopping Center's shops and venues have come and gone through the years, Stravaganza has staying power---the café has anchored the south entrance of Crossroads Boulevard since 1991. A family-run element, kid-friendly aesthetic and broad menu (and a staff happy to accommodate special needs) might explain the restaurant's ongoing popularity, particularly at lunch, when folks are lucky to find a spot to sit. There are always a few extra seats---and heat lamps---on the enclosed back patio. We take pleasure in the juicy lamb sandwich, the several slices of roasted leg meat sharing triangles of herbed focaccia topped with a good heaping of sautéed mushrooms and onions. The sandwich comes with a generous side of fries, but those---which are just okay---go ignored. Lamb also wins ground in the spice-patted burger. Mediterranean influences spike the crispy pizzas, plentiful pastas and generous salads with a few pomegranate seeds here, a sprinkling of sesame seeds there.
