If the food police have scared you into forgoing Chinese food, Jimmy Chi's health-conscious spot is the place for you. Since February 1998, the restaurant has prohibited the use of MSG, and included on the menu---in keeping with the Chinese tradition of foods that are both delicious and promote well-being---are low-fat, low-sodium dishes. The batters are light; the oil is fresh and used moderately; and many dishes are steamed or stir-fried. Popular items include ginger-honey-mustard chicken, filet mignon in black pepper sauce and dan-dan noodles in spicy peanut sauce.
