San Marino Seafood Description:
Hidden in San Marino's quaint downtown area is this intimate fish market-café where a gracious owner welcomes guests to smartly dressed tables or a pleasant outdoor patio. A pair of formidable wall-mounted marlins and series of nautical flags dominate the unpretentious décor. Appetizers include generally well executed items like shrimp or Dungeness crab cocktails, a very tender, lightly breaded calamari steak (which also goes into a nice sandwich) and a shrimp quesadilla. The New England clam chowder may be the kitchen's single best effort. Dinner entrées include fresh halibut, wild salmon or blue nose sea bass, prepared with a teriyaki or chipotle glaze, or a spirited Cajun seasoning.
