Heard about the sushi Nazi? Well, like the infamous "Seinfeld" soup Nazi (based on a real Manhattan soup seller), Kazunori Nozawa has rules. Foremost among them: "Trust me." If you sit at one of the nine counter seats, you cede total control to Nozawa. The only option you have is deciding when to stop. The one and only sushi man at this small sushi bar doesn't make California rolls, but he layers pink salmon with translucent seaweed noodles, steeps heavenly mussels in a rice-vinegar broth and enfolds elaborate hand rolls in toasted sheets of seaweed. Some flavors are subtly concealed and, like the proverbial Chinese puzzle box, appear magically as others vanish, awakening your taste buds to the chef's handiwork.
