Viva Madrid Description:
Here in quaint Claremont Village, where you might least expect to find it, is one of Southern California's most authentic Spanish eateries. The tiny, rustic restaurant is a feast for the eyes, as antique bullfighting posters, related paraphernalia and even a bull's head crowd the walls. A giant, rustic wooden bar, massive crystal chandelier, candle wall sconces and an open kitchen round out the totally charming room, which can get very crowded (P.S.---no reservations accepted). Over forty tapas are offered, from genuine Spanish chorizo, empanadas, Manchego cheese, croquetas, Serrano ham and much more. We advise loading up on these diverse palate teasers and then go for the paella. Pair it up with a good sangría or Rioja and finish up with a crema Catalan, flan or leche frita. This place is loads of fun.
