Marcello Restaurant Description:
This graceful re-creation of a Florentine palazzo ranks as one of the most beautiful restaurants in San Pedro. Unfortunately, the food can be frustratingly uneven and the service unusually slow, even when the restaurant isn't very busy. Seafood items are the kitchen's strong point, and desserts are good, too, but pastas and salads vary greatly. Given that this is one of the most expensive restaurants in town, we expect better. The wine list contains over two hundred bottles, including some rare finds, but the by-the-glass selection is poor. If only the kitchen lived up to the promise of the room, Marcello's would be hard to beat.
