JZcool Description:
Local celebrity chef Jesse Ziff Cool made her mark with her popular Flea Street Café, an establishment long championed for its focus on locally produced, organic and seasonal ingredients. Cool takes the same approach with the menu at her second Menlo Park restaurant, jZcool Eatery. This spot offers a somewhat more casual dining experience than Flea Street Café and the prices are quite reasonable. Some of the better dishes include the rosemary-lemon organic chicken with tapenade, the grilled turkey breast served with a tomato-pear chutney, and the ginger-soy Niman Ranch strip steak with chipotle aïoli and caramelized onions. Vegetarians won't want to miss the eggplant Parmesan with ricotta and spinach, which is served over orzo.
