The Grill on Ocean Avenue Description:
An ivy trellis adorns the arched windows and a stone fireplace crackles year 'round, creating a romantic cottage escape. There's little escape from the rather staid menu, however. It lacks creativity and the dated plate presentations keep this restaurant stuck in the culinary time zone of the mid 1980s. If you do find yourself here, do as the name suggests: keep your order simple and go for something grilled like the steak (with frites) or the local king salmon. One might be able to guess the items on the menu of homemade desserts---they include tiramisu and crème brûlée. A compact wine list offers big California marquee names mixed in with some local labels.
