You know the drill: a big breakfast with the boys before an early tee time. Round the turn at nine and anticipate a cart stocked with pre-prepared tuna sandwiches and lukewarm soda. Après golf munch on watered down drinks and Chex mix. None of these worst case scenarios are in the forecast at Edgar's, located just off the fairways of Quail Lodge. Rather, try the french toast made with brioche and grab the golf balls size house-made "hole in one" donuts to go. You can still have your tuna sandwich, though this one is made with fresh seared ahi and comes smeared with a little wasabi crème fraîche. Point Reyes blue cheese wakes up a Cobb salad. Watch golf highlights in a contemporary lounge atmosphere (there are ten flat-screen TVs) or just sit around the stone fireplace and relive your own great hits and chips over fresh lightly battered fish 'n' chips. Bolder dishes like oyster shooters, flatiron steak and rib-eye round out the menu.
