And the simplicity of the dining experience (order from the preternaturally kind ladies behind the counter and take a seat at one of the outdoor tables) provides a perfect match for the food. It's not uncommon for foodies in the know to pop off the freeway and buy the tamales by the dozen, wrapped in cozy cornhusks and sealed tightly to go.
