Wine Detective Description:
Tucked into a retail-dining complex centered around a charming courtyard, Wine Detective is a self-serve wine bar at which high-tech Enomatic machines dispense wines from around the world. Most of the approximately 50 selections are from boutique wineries, typically priced between $2-$8 per one-ounce pour, and charged to a debit card that guests insert into the machines. Sip at a small bar while chatting with the friendly owner, or hang out in a seductive lounge. Small plates include cheese and charcuterie plates, open-face sandwiches (e.g., smoked salmon, Serrano ham and manchego cheese), or a duck trio that includes a foie gras pâté, duck prosciutto and duck salami. Most wines are also available for purchase by the bottle.
