Cham is a particularly hip space for fast food, with communal tables paired with sleek blonde wood chairs, and a minimalist silvery-grey palette enhanced with polished wood accents. Begin with tofu pockets, akin to inari sushi, filled with fresh crab meat or pickled seaweed, before tucking into bibimbap (sliced meat or spicy tuna served in a big bowl with lettuce, vegetables and rice or zesty buckwheat noodles). Toss it all together (bibimbap translates into "mixed meal") with sesame oil and hot sauce for a healthy, satisfying dish. Bulgogi (traditional marinated beef), the classic Korean barbecue, arrives sizzling in a cast iron skillet with lettuce leaves and condiments for wrapping.
