Palm Restaurant Description:
An outpost of the famed New York steakhouse, this woody warren in the Westin Copley emulates its parent with a wall display of caricatures of local celebrities. It also doesn't fall far from the tree menu-wise, a classic surf-and-turf-and-sides extravaganza. The Prime-aged steaks, thick lamb chops and giant lobsters are fine but not necessarily special enough to justify bypassing local operations; the same goes for the expensive (but enormous) accompaniments (with the exception of well-worthwhile creamed spinach). Likewise, The Palm's wine list doesn't quite go to the lengths of those of its rivals. On the other hand, the crowds don't go to quite the same lengths to get a table at the Palm that they do at its rivals, either, so you're more likely to savor some peace and quiet with your meal.
