Located on the Bosporus Straits, the small town of Bebek can be seen on a half-day visit from Istanbul. Bebek features Rumeli Hisar, a castle built by Mehmet II, and Bogazici University (formerly American Robert College, the first American university overseas). 10 mi/16 km north of Istanbul.
