Sadly they tried to pass off rotten fish as fresh fish. My poor Japanese friend popped it in her mouth and promptly spat it out. Tried to tell the manager that it was bad, but he denied it. I think my friend from Japan knows fish a little better than a Chinese manager named William. Anyway, called the health department to inform them. Kept a piece of the fish for analysis. I'm worried about others that may have actually swallowed the stuff. Hope no one gets seriously ill from it. Can't believe the manager acted like everything was fine. I'll let you all know if my friend becomes ill. EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Having gone to Japanese restaurants since before kindergarten (for last 30+ years) I have never complained once about food. However I did so last night. The rice for the sushi was simply a glutenous mass that was stuck together. Having complained once then having same problem again we asked to not pay for the rolls we did not eat. PROBLEM. I had the manager come over to tell me that is how rice is made PERIOD. NO ACCEPTANCE OF ISSUE. He kept on asking me what the problem was... I felt he was simply trying to intimidate me. Questioning what rice is supposed to taste like. Having eaten it for almost every meal in my life I felt prepared to respond.
If i had made that rice for my father (Korean who grew up in Japan) I would be screamed at for laziness !!! It had not been washed properly to remove talc which creates the glue like mass. Simply if I had been white or a more docile asian i would have been bullied into accepting the crappiest rolls I have ever been presented with. Really Really poor people skills. What I did notice NO Japanese or Korean customers when I was there!!! The other ingredients were of quality and in the past I have had sushi there that was OK. NEVER will I eat there again especially with so many other good sushi restaurants that can actually make rice. I have to wonder if ownership is even Japanese or Korean (we also eat sushi). Seemed like in denial of plain evidence insisting this is how it was to be made?!?
