It did take over an hour to get our food, but it was an INCREDIBLE dining experience. I ordered the gulf shrimp over angel hair in a mediterranean picante sauce and it was out of this world. You could really taste that everything was made from scratch and it was real-deal Italian. Also note if you are going to Piccolo's: YOU MUST ORDER THE GARLIC FINGERS. They were by-far the best bread sticks I have ever eaten (possibly even the best thing I have ever eaten, period). My friend and I ordered some and I was prepared to eat one and then save up for dinner...didn't we end up eating the entire plate (which was mounded with them) between the two of us. Also note that the portions at Piccolo's are huge and well-worth the price considering how high quality it all is. Piccolo's is a great place to go if you are in the mood for good food, good company, and plenty of time to linger and converse. My friend and I are talkers so we barely noticed the wait. Would definitely go back again.

Food as art. The dining experience never ceases to impress. One of the few restaurants in the city can claim to serve "cuisine". If you're looking for the kind of meal that makes an evening, stop by, kick back and relax in the subdued atmosphere, drink in the rich aromas, and savor the delightful dishes at this, Windsor's best kept Italian secret.

Worth the wait!
The staff were courteous and forewarned us it could be awhile. When the food arrived it was well presented and very generous portion. Now if one is so upset with the service from the beginning they should just leave. FYI the food menu is a totally different menu than the Keg which comes also with an enourmous price tag and long wait. My husband and I will definately go back to Piccolo's .

I agree the it does take a bit to get your food. Waitress was friendly and polite. Food was incredible. Portions were generous. This is a restaurant that we will go back to. It is well worth the wait when you know everything is made fresh and on spot

The food was incredible! The menu offered a little bit of everything for everyone, but for people who think outside of the box I definately suggest the Cheesy Cheddar Chicken! Service was good for the fact that there were only 2 servers for the entire restaurant and the atmostphere is quaint and cozy. It doesn't hurt to have good company go with you either. All in all I love this restaurant and am a repeat customer whenever I am in Windsor.

It does tkae a while to get your food, because everything is made from scratch. This isn't the kind of place you run in and out of. It is an excellent resaturant and excellent food. Generations of people disagree with the previous poster. Stick to the keg. Your kids 'taste' in fine food should definetly help dictate where you spend your ample disposable income.

This restaurant needs some serious help! The decor is dated, the seats cramped and uncomfortable, the service was terrible!! My family of four arrived on a Saturday at 5:30 and were seated by a hostess who dropped off a pitcher of water. Thank God for that as our waiter took twenty minutes to come to our table after walking by us four times!! We ordered right away and ended up waiting for over an hour for our food, and there were only two other couples in the restaurant(thank god it wasn't packed!) We had to ask for bread, which was old and warmed up which should have shed some insight on the meal. We ordered three different items, but may as well have ordered the same thing because it all tasted the same, DISGUSTING!!! There was no flavour at all, we were so dissappointed after the long wait and horrible service and our bill was $75.00!!(We each had a pop to drink and my kids split a meal!) This restaurant was absolutely disgusting, my six year old son is used to eating at The Keg and suggested that we leave and get Taco Bell instead if that gives any insight to this restaurant!! Stay Away!!!
