The place may have seen better days, but locals don't come here for the ambience, they come here for the inexpensive, authentic Mexican food. Just over the river from downtown Sacramento, the place is quirky and inviting. The menu features everything expected of a Mexican joint: tacos, enchiladas, chips and salsa (some of the freshest in town) as well as the numerous combination dinners, all at a fraction of the price you'd pay at a Mexican-American chain restaurant.
