The Manor Description:
Elegant and ornate, The Manor is surrounded by manicured gardens, statues, gazebos and fountains. The dark wood-paneled walls and oversize crystal chandeliers combine to give an air of formality. Among the fine-dining choices here are a lavish buffet in one room, à la carte dining in another. The wine list and wine service are exceptional. Desserts are equally as sophisticated, several accompanied by pairing suggestions for after-dinner liqueurs, such as the swirled passion fruit cheesecake with guava sauce and strawberry sorbet and Domaine de Coyeux Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, Rhone 2000. Although polished and professional in every way, there are occasional lapses in both service and cuisine. These, however, seem to be anomalies in an otherwise first-rate establishment.
