Saladworks Description:
One of a growing crop of salad-friendly eateries, Saladworks is a one-stop get-greens place modeled on the typical fast-food restaurant: you walk through the line, select your salad, pay at the register, then eat out or eat in, your choice. What makes this place work is the speedy service and the interesting---though not epicurean---salad choices, from the turkey club to the slightly spicy fire-roasted cabo jack with strips of chicken and chunks of cheese. You can make your own combos, too, from the salad selections in the glass case, but their standards are well portioned and nicely assembled. If you'd prefer a hearty sandwich, the focaccia-based choices include a chicken Monterey, a BLT, and a fajita-inspired one. Soups accompany either meal, and desserts, limited to cookies and brownies, round out the experience (we recommend the chunky chocolate chip cookie).
