Haandi Description:
Much acclaimed and well-established, the Haandi Indian restaurants have offered one of the first Indian dining experiences in the metro area, and continues to hold its own against a flood of Indian upstarts. The menu reads like a familiar guidebook to Indian eats and you won't find much that's unfamiliar or jolting. Note that all foods are mildly spiced and if you want to turn up the heat, you'll have to ask. Hence, it may appeal to diners who love temperate, familiar dishes. We enjoyed the unusual daal masala, a simmer of various lentils cooked in mild spices, and credit the tandoor cook for good bread. We love such dishes as fiery vindaloos lavished with chilies, but this one was too mild.
