Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar Description:
Part of a growing national steakhouse chain, Fleming's is carving out its niche among several other big-muscle beef places in its Tysons' neighborhood. Appealing to families and offering a rather casual, after-work atmosphere, Fleming's presents a menu limited to five different cuts of steak, and the requisite lamb, veal, and pork chops, plus chicken and several seafood dishes. Indeed, its wine list is lengthier than its menu. It's also a strictly à la carte menu, so if you want a few vegetables, better look to the pricey sides of potatoes several ways, spinach, broccoli or mushrooms. We loved the mashed skin-on potatoes with roasted garlic, which come in a very generous portion, probably enough to feed two. You also have several appetizer choices, from onion rings to Caesar salad, though this version lacked the requisite garlic and anchovy punch. Dessert choices are also limited to the expected cheesecake, Key lime pie, crème brûlée and chocolate cake selections, though the after-dinner cordials and gourmet coffee drinks are notable.
