Evo Bistro Description:
Evo is the place to taste and experience wine and enjoy fabulous food in a relaxed atmosphere. We offer a wine tasting bar paired with French, Italian, Spanish and Moroccan style tapas as well as a retail wine shop all wrapped in one!
Wines from around the world are featured. They are carefully chosen and rated by the owners, staff members and customers with an emphasis on values consistent with the quality of the wines. Our five star rating goes to wine of high quality that we can offer to our restaurant patrons for $50 or preferably less.
Evo stretches the traditional wine bar and retail store boundaries by offering guests an exciting new concept for tasting and buying wines and food. For the first time, guests can serve themselves by purchasing an Evo tasting card (like a debit card), inserting it into the automated wine tasting stations, selecting a wine and receiving a 1 oz.,
3 oz., or 5 oz. pour. Individually priced pours of more than 50 wines sourced from wineries around the globe makes for a truly wonderful experience.
This "try-before-you-buy" model promotes education, socialization, and curiosity.
Now Evo offers our guests the opportunity to taste and experience small amounts of wine before deciding on the right glass... The guests are the judges and are able to choose the wine that's right for them.
This compact little bistro oozes charm and glamour, but also suffers from dreadful acoustics, at least in the evening. At any time, however, you'll enjoy the trendy and artistic tapas prepared by a chef who knows his patatas bravas from squid. Inspiration comes from Italy, Morocco, France and Spain. And you can enjoy a wine list with moderately priced selections---actually, this bistro is more wine bar than eatery. But do order a selection of tapas, including the stuffed piquillo peppers, the Evo crêpe filled with crab meat and drizzled with a vanilla sauce, the merguez sausage, and the grilled lamb chops. And, of course, the patatas bravas.
