Taking over the building where numerous other restaurants have operated, this immense Indian eatery draws big crowds, particularly for its luncheon buffet. But despite its glam interior and busy staff, the food simply does not live up to expectations. The extensive menu offers nothing out of the ordinary, and the buffet, while generous, runs you by the same old fare: breads, dals, a few curries, and rice. Also on offer are an array of dishes that mix Southern and Northern influences, like the vindaloos, biryanis and masala dosas.
