What can you say about a restaurant that has made its name serving kabobs and fresh breads? Its first location in Bethesda has been a popular hangout for years for young Persians who dig quality cheap eats. Now all of Washington is in on the secret, because the clever management has expanded to several other locations. Depending on the hour, getting a table may be as much of a challenge as running a marathon. Plan to order ahead, otherwise you may join a line waiting for the terrific kabobs wrapped in the fresh-baked breads. We are addicted to the kubideh (ground beef) kabob in hot bread with its side of tangy yogurt. Add a shirazi salad and you've got a meal. Always check out the daily special, which will be a full-blown Persian entrée that's more substantial than a sandwich.
