You'll need no more than maybe three seconds to realize that Pat Troy's Ireland's Own Restaurant & Pub is Irish, all Irish, and proud to be wearin' the Green. Almost every square inch is festooned with some Irish trinket. On the slightly elevated stage, a trio fiddles and twangs away at enchanting Irish melodies, emotional enough so you'll raise your glass in a toast. The menu includes Irish and American fare. Those not in the mood for Kilcormac shepherd's pie, Mulligan beef stew or Ferbane Irish breakfast can enjoy burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, soups, salads, appetizers and specials. Bread pudding and a rich cheesecake made with Bailey's Irish Cream are good desserts. Note that owner Pat Troy hosts a weekly Sunday morning Irish radio program with news about what's going on in the local Irish community and, of course, Irish music.
