Le Petit Cafe and Bakery Description:
A French restaurant in the Ventura Harbor seemed incongruous when owners Wendy and Jean-Luc opened Le Petit Café in late 2000. Since then, the eatery has earned a following of diners who appreciate the harbor views, freshly made pastries and French dishes such as escargots, crêpes and croque monsieur. There's also typical California fare like vegetarian pasta with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes on the menu, and local seafood finds its way into sandwiches and stews. A brief wine list matches the food, with selections limited to California and France.
