Review :
This is a great pub for many reasons, but the 3 main ones are the food, the service and the ambiance! What more could you want from any establishment. They've got a beautiful terrace during the summer months overlooking the water and the interior is equally as charming keeping with traditional pub styling. But unlike all the British pubs that I've been to in the UK, their menu offers a larger array of dishes other than your usual bangers and mash or greasy fish and chips. Last time I was there with a friend I had the steak sandwich and my buddy had the lamb curry; both were really well made with some great flavouring. For starters it was the ribs and Cockaleekie. The ribs were a tad on the dry side but good none the less, the soup's flavour was as unusual as its name, but very satisfying! Service can sometimes be on the slow side and some dishes a little over priced for their portions, but a great old-style English pub for any homesick ex-Brits and Canadians alike.
