Unfortunately i did not get the best of experience with this restaurant. Hostess was rude, food was expensive and quality is questionable. had a mexican dish, (flour tortilla, chorizo with trimmings as advertised, got deepfried taco shells with 2 eggs and MISSING the Chorizo. Had to ask for it. finally came deep-fried, overcook and dried. "Their excuse, they sometimes make mistakes!!" NO QUALITY CONTROL.

Almost all the restaurants in Granville Island have a certain unique flare that lends them to success, and Dockside Restaurant is no exception. What makes Dockside BEST is the patio, which on a beautifully, sunny Vancouver summer day, is an absolute must for everybody both local and tourist.

I was lucky enought to hit Dockside on a weekkend while the jazz band was up and at it. I was intrigued by the eggs benedict station were my chef prepared brunch right in front of me. There were so many things to look at I couldn't concentrate on my man. The food is picturesque.

Dockside is a great restaurant with a nice view, an open kitchen, and a fantastic wrap around fish tank. The food however, is another thing, and not more than passable cuisine for its caliber restaurant.
For brunch, I had their simple breakfast of two over-easy eggs, brown toast and hash-browns. It all was simple, so it was what it was...
Menu items are a little bit more pricey than other breakfast places, but it is expected at a tourist destination like Granville Island.
Service was okay, and I didn't expect anything less than we received since the restaurant wasn't busy. I would probably return, mostly for the view.
