to make a long story short:
1) food very good. better than most other Sushi places.
2) service: non existing. arrogant behaviour. your plate is gone in the same second your put the last piece in your mouth. Money and credit cards put occasionally at least a little smile in their face.
Too bad for the chef. His hard work and skills are getting ruined by the 'service' you experience at this place.
NOT RECOMMENDED.

Love the food here. I only eat the sushi, nothing cooked so I cannot comment on anything else.
If you want to try something amazing, the tuna tataki is mouth watering. I actually crave this dish. The garlic sauce is wonderful, and I love the way the tuna is just lightly seared.
The fancy roll, Canuck, is really good also the Queen. Really, any of the specialty rolls are to die for!
The ambiance is less than steller. I prefer a bit more room to maneuver, and the tables are so tiny, it's hard to eat with a group. The wait times can be pretty long, so check the place out when there's no dinner rush...
Would love the servers to come around with tea and be a bit more attentive, but then again, this place is so busy it's really hard to get great service because they're either taking orders on the phone or table, they do a killer take out service! The servings are quite large and the prices are reasonable! I can eat there for $20.00 for dinner and STILL have food to take home! Better than White Spot or Milestone's in a heartbeat!!!

Aside from the fact that the chef is no really Japanese, they actually serve pretty decent sushi. The Dragon Roll and Rainbow Roll are my favorite so far. They were like offsprings of the infamouse California Roll but with artistic twist to it. This restaurant is actually pretty famouse on Davie street. Usually it's packed. Two things I love about this restaurant: servers are cute and the price is right! Two things I don't like about this restaurant: the washroom is dirty and the stir fried stuff are too oily.
