Dix Barbecue & Brewery Description:
Located across the street from BC Place and steps from GM Place (both downtown venues draw huge crowds for the city's sporting events and concerts), Dix draws them in for its on-site brews, special beer tasting evenings, and all the peanuts you can eat. Many show up for the apple wood-smoked Southern-style backyard barbecue favorites such as pulled pork shoulder, St. Louis-style side ribs, and the legendary Aficionado sandwich made with tender slices of brisket smothered in a Texas whiskey barbecue sauce. Add an order of cornbread, slaw, and pit beans to round out your meal. Don't leave without tasting the pecan pie with bourbon sauce.

Great Beer, Great Food, and a Great Crowd. Bartenders remember your name if you remember theirs. Real and very knowledgeable sports patrons hang out there. The crowd is eazy to get to know, and they all have great sence of humor!

A bunch of us made our way to Dix Pub to watch the superbowl. Most of the other places we tried going to were just jam packed. Dix was comfortable and the beers and burgers made it even more comfortable... Oh and not to forget the free peanuts :-)

For a place that specializes in various meat offerings, they sure don't seem to know what they're doing when it comes to producing tender, succulent and tasty meat dishes! If you’re look for a place that serves up good beer and free peanuts, these guys are one of the best around. Actually, the chicken wings are pretty good – but they’re way over priced! I would stick to a hamburger, beer and free peanuts and you shouldn’t be disappointed. The other good quality of Dix is there usually isn’t a crowd, so you’ll always have a decent place to sit and a good view of the TV if you’re a sports fan. Service is on par with any other sports bar / restaurant, so you should be fine in that respect as well.

dix is a very casual bar with few dining selections ... however, the beer is very good !!! freshly brewed ... lots of elbrow room ... not very crowded ... even though they pride themselves in bbq ribs, i wouldn't recommend it ... however, if you are from quebec and crave poutine, they sure do offer good poutine !!! for beer and lots of elbow room and hangout place after work with colleagues, this place is perfect !!!
