Review :
The Cat's Meow is a pretty good spot for winding down the day after walking around Granville Island. Although in the evenings on most days it seems, it can get extremely crowded so if you want a spot on the patio you'd better come early. We only sat outside so I really can't say much for the interior decor or atmosphere, but the patio is full of more beer swillers than actual diners. I went with my wife and enjoyed the crab cakes to start, I had a burger while she had the mussels. The burger was average and the mussels were decent but nothing amazing. Service is also a bit slow with one waitress working our side of the enormous patio - but at least we had our drinks before long. If you're on Granville Island and in the mood for a loud, drinking crowd and decent food, this is the place for you. It's a good alternative to The Sandbar and other fancier joints in the area.
